The Arkansas Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission was created to promote the statewide observance of the historic episode. In preparation, a special Web site was created to provide more in-depth information on the upcoming four-year commemoration. Learn more about the Arkansas Civil War Sesquicentennial and the special activities and functions being held throughout Arkansas for the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War. You’ll also find information on activities being held in 2010 relating to the Civil War in Arkansas, specifics on regiments from Arkansas, photographs, a Civil War timeline, and a detailed map of battle sites throughout the state.
