Capital Hotel Christmas Tree is a Top 10 Dazzler
Editor's note: This article is from 2013.
Congratulations to the Capital Hotel in downtown Little Rock! They have the Christmas spirit big-time and it definitely shows. The hotel’s sparkling Christmas tree was chosen by Forbes Travel Guide as one of the “10 most dazzling trees” in the country. The 28-foot-white fir was decorated to the max by Little Rock florist Tipton & Hurst.
The guide describes the scenario as “Inspired by the hotel’s stained-glass ceilings, Howard Hurst and his team chose a palette of burgundy and gold, covering the branches with all-glass ornaments in a range of deep reds and an ethereal gold ribbon running through the sea of deep green.”
The Capital is in some pretty fancy company on the list. Also included are the Inn on Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C., New York’s Plaza Hotel, Claridge’s in London, the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, VA, Las Vegas’ Bellagio, and The Grand Mar, the St. Regis Monarch Beach, and the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, all in California.
If you’re looking to enhance your Christmas spirit or maybe want to revitalize yours, a trip to the Capital Hotel to view all the marvelous decorations, including an intricate gingerbread village complete with train, is just what you need. It’s located at Markham & Louisiana Streets.
