In Charge of a Group? Lead Them to Loco Ropes

If you’ve read my blog before, you know I’m a big fan of Loco Ropes, a treetop ropes course adventure, located at Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mountain View. The crazy fun comes in challenging yourself on three ropes courses containing more than 30 obstacles, a 300-foot-long zip line, a 30-foot climbing wall and a 35-foot freefall zone.

Some of the ropes courses elements are more mentally challenging, some more physical. Balance and agility play a more important role than brawn. Challenges range from simply walking a wooden plank to swinging on a rope like Tarzan from one tree platform to another. The tallest element on the course is 65 feet above the ground. The aerial adventure can be done by all ages.

Each time I have been there, I have witnessed people coaxing someone through the course. It might be a Loco Ropes guide helping a kid find their courage, or family and strangers encouraging me to swing like Tarzan to the next platform. So it only make sense to me that Loco Ropes is now offering a new team building experience with sessions specifically geared for youth, young adults and adults.

Whatever group you may be a part of – sports teams, church youth groups, school groups, scout troops, boards of directors, sales staff, or general business staff. – Loco Ropes is offering team building events to refocus team members, and help them communicate and work together. Everyone, especially youth, can learn some problem solving skills while also learning to appreciate others and the outdoors and have tons of fun doing it.

Your group can also enjoy exploring Ozark Folk Center State Park, which contains a craft village of more than 20 artisans demonstrating pioneer folk art crafts and the ways of the Ozark Mountain people in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The park has workshops, dance performances, programs and concerts. It has 60 lodge rooms, swimming pool, restaurant, and conference rooms. The town of Mountain View is known for its beauty, fishing opportunities, hiking and biking trails, art, music on the square, and Blanchard Springs Caverns.
