Parrot Island Waterpark Opens Saturday, May 23!
What are kids excited about other than the fact that school is almost out for the summer? The grand opening of Fort Smith’s Parrot Island Waterpark on Saturday, May 23.

Parrot Island offers a fun-filled summer with a wave pool, water slides, lazy river, activity pool, children’s area, and more.
More than 85,000 gallons of water churn into awesome waves in the region’s only wave pool. The lazy river has 500 feet of floating fun, plus waterfall features. Tiny folk get slides, climbing toys, waterfalls and spraying water just right for their size. The activity pool has 250,000 gallons of water for swimming, relaxing, or splashing in on a hot summer’s day.
The water park has four body slides. Pineapple Plunge is a 135-foot, 45 degree thrill ride. Standing at 40 feet tall, you’ll get a bird’s eye view of the park before you take this plunge. Pelican Plunge is 40-foot high and fully enclosed with translucent bands, and twists and turns for more than 265 feet. The Tangerine Twist stands 35 feet tall and has almost 200 feet of high-speed twisting fun before you hit the plunge pool. Blue Macaw is a good ride for anyone at 30-feet tall and an open slide of about 200 feet.
You’ll likely work up an appetite that can be satiated at Island Breeze Snack Hut, where you can enjoy pizza, sandwiches, salads, nachos, hamburgers, chicken fingers, hot dogs, cool beverages, frozen treats, and more.
Single and double rider tubes are provided complimentary for guest use. Lockers are available for a small fee and are accessible for a full day. Cabanas are available for rent too. The Tiki Hut is your source for merchandise and souvenirs, including t-shirts, sunglasses, suntan products, towels, swimsuits and convenience items.

One-day admission is $15 for those 48-inches and taller, and $10 for those less than 48 inches. Children three and younger are free. Season passes are $59 for individuals, and $199 for a family of four with an additional $49 per additional family member. Non-swimmer adults are $5.
The park also offers special pricing on its value days, family nights, and for military personnel. An opening special is available to regional residents.
