Lake Leatherwood Park & Cabins

What to know

City park offers 1,600 acres of Ozark Mountain countryside with an 85-acre spring-fed lake, hiking, picnicking, walking trails, camping, cabins and a small marina for boating, canoes, kayaks and paddle boats. Cabins with kitchenette. Pets welcome. Playground, RV sites with full hookups, tent sites with and without electricity. The lake is formed by one of the largest hand-cut native limestone dams in the country. The dam and several structures at the park were built in the early 1940s by the WPA and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Open March 1 thru mid-November.
