MAD in El Dorado

Concert at Murphy Arts District.

El Dorado is home to the Murphy Arts District (MAD), which centers on a state-of-the-art music, entertainment and restaurant complex. The project, aimed at revitalizing downtown El Dorado, turned the 1928 Griffin Auto Co. Building, once a fuel station and showroom for Model T Fords, into a restaurant flanked by a cabaret stage and a 2,000-person music hall. The lawn outside MAD has been developed into an outdoor amphitheater that can accommodate 8,000 guests, along with a seasonal farmers market and a two-acre, free-admission "destination playscape" for children. MAD has hosted outstanding performances from artists such as Megan Moroney, Ginuwine, Aaron Lewis and many more!
