What to know

Come enjoy our iris blooms and a variety of family entertainment.  Our small community celebrates life with bloom, music, and traditional Ozark culture and arts.  The Mountain View Iris Festival is hosted annually on the first weekend in May.  We want to welcome you to Mountain View anytime during the bloom season which is mid-April until mid-May.  Arkansas' only iris festival, hosted May 1-2, will feature an iris show, photo contest, Corvette show, garden tours, carousel organs, children's art activities, street dance, and music on the square.  Mountain View residents and businesses know how to welcome visitors, friends, and neighbors from near and far, and we hope you will go home with fond memories of our festival and our Ozark community.

The "Carousel Organs of America" will return for a second year to perform on Friday and Saturday on the courthouse square.  The rally draws carousel organ members from as far away as New York and to the delight of all ages, festival friends are invited to take a turn at playing a tune. The event is truly a once in a lifetime experience for most festival visitors, and we encourage you to come and bring your family and friends.

There will be irises under our lights at night.  A garden walk of 200 yards where lights shine and feature colorful iris blooms presents a great opportunity for beautiful photos.  We look forward to your visit May 1-2, 2020.  For further information see us and sign up on our website www.mountainviewirisfest.com

Please note:  While there will not be any arts and crafts vendors at the festival.  Mountain View merchants and local art and craft guilds will be open for visitors' shopping pleasure.  Mountain View is an arts and crafts venue every day of the year.  Artisans and musicians are available downtown and at the Ozark Folk Center.  Here is a link to provide visitors with local and area information, www.yourplaceinthemountains.com.
