Ozark Holidays Craft Show
What to know
Get away from the fuss and flurry of the modern city and come to where holidays are about people and craftsmanship is done by hand. The Ozark Folk Center State Park is holding its Ozark Holidays Craft Show in conjunction with the award-winning Skillet Restaurant Thanksgiving Buffet on Thanksgiving Thursday and the Friday afterwards. There will be demonstrating crafts people in their workshops in the Craft Village and visiting artisans in the Administration Building. More than 30 juried artisans will offer heirloom quality weavings, glasswork, leatherwork, wood carvings, basketry, metalwork, and more, each piece is unique and each one made by the person selling it.
It’s challenging in today’s fast-paced production-oriented world to find unique, high quality, handcrafted items for gifts or for your own household. The Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mountain View, Arkansas is a place that exists to perpetuate quality Ozark craftsmanship.
“Our craftspeople have worked hard this season exploring their creative process on a daily basis and challenging themselves to create new and even more beautiful items,” said Jeanette Larson, Craft Director at the Ozark Folk Center State Park. “This special holiday craft show is a chance for us to share that beautiful work with you in a festive, relaxed atmosphere.”
