Civil War Weekend

The Nevada County Depot Museum in cooperation with Historic Washington State Park presents, Civil War Weekend, at Prairie D'Ane in Prescott, Arkansas from October 31 through November 2, 2025. Visitors will be able to witness history by viewing a reenactment of the Skirmish at Prairie D'Ane and will have a chance to view military encampments at Prairie D'Ane in Prescott, Arkansas. Historic Washington will conduct events and activities to demonstrate life on the home front during the Civil War, including a Civil War Ball scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, November 1 at the park. 

Schedule of Events:
9:00 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2025: Civil War School Day (Historic Washington State Park)
11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1 and 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 2: Reenactment of the Skirmish at Prairie D'Ane (Prescott, Arkansas) and military camps open to visitors 
1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1: afternoon & evening "life on the home front" activities at Historic Washington State Park
