The spirit of an old-fashioned Christmas is alive and well in Searcy. Downtown Searcy is the home of the historic White County Courthouse, the oldest courthouse in Arkansas, as well as the iconic Rialto Theater. Recognized on the National Register of Historic Places, the courthouse and Rialto offer the perfect background for lights and the magic of Christmas in a small town. Searcy is full of unexpected surprises like Art Alley, the newest creative destination in downtown. Bring your friends and family for the downtown lighting ceremony on Tuesday, November 20, 6 p.m. Enjoy light displays in Berryhill Park, skate in Spring Park, stroll through the campus of Harding University among more than 1 million cascading lights under a beautiful tree canopy, and discover the true meaning of Christmas at The Living Nativity at First Assembly of God. Many more activities are planned throughout the holiday season.
